NEGROS OCCIDENTAL - A man tagged as the number one drug personality in the watchlist of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Victorias City, Negros Occidental was arrested in a buy-bust operation Sunday morning in Zone 2, Brgy. 6-A.
Eric Detoyato was still on board his motorcycle when he was arrested after he allegedly sold illegal drugs to an operative of the PNP.
The joint operation was conducted by the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Team of the Negros Occidental PNP and Victorias PNP.
Police Superintendent German Garbosa, Victorias Police chief, said Detoyato was among those who surrendered to them following the conduct of Oplan Tokhang by the PNP.
Recovered from Detoyato were eight medium-sized sachets and four big heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu and P2,300 worth of cash.
Detoyato denied the allegations, adding that the evidence were planted by the operatives.
The police, in turn, denied Detoyato's allegations.
